About Us

Canada's Independent Reverse Mortgage Resource

We help Canadian homeowners 55+ compare all five reverse mortgage lenders — honestly, independently, and at no cost.

Why We Built This Site

Most reverse mortgage information in Canada is published by the lenders themselves — which means it is not always objective. We built Reverse Mortgage Centre to give Canadian homeowners an independent place to compare all five lenders side-by-side, understand the trade-offs, and make an informed decision without pressure.

Every calculator, comparison table, and educational guide on this site is designed to help you understand your options — including whether a reverse mortgage is even the right fit, or whether a HELOC, refinance, or downsizing might serve you better.

Who Operates This Site

Reverse Mortgage Centre is operated by Scott Dillingham, a licensed mortgage agent through Mortgage Architects — LendCity (FSRA #12728), based in Windsor, Ontario.

Scott has helped hundreds of Canadian homeowners navigate mortgage decisions, including reverse mortgages. He founded LendCity to provide data-driven mortgage advice and has built Reverse Mortgage Centre as a resource for the growing number of Canadians exploring equity access in retirement.

Our Approach

We compare all five Canadian reverse mortgage lenders — CHIP (HomeEquity Bank), Equitable Bank (Flex), Bloom Finance, Home Trust (EquityAccess), and Fraction — because the right lender depends on your age, province, property type, and financial goals. No single lender is best for everyone.

Our broker compensation comes from the lender when a mortgage closes. This means there is no cost to you to use our calculators, read our guides, or book a consultation. We disclose our compensation model fully on our contact page.

Licensing & Regulatory Oversight

We are a licensed mortgage brokerage regulated by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Ontario (FSRA). Our license number is FSRA #12728, issued to Mortgage Architects. You can verify our licensing at fsrao.ca.

For complaints or concerns, you may contact FSRA directly at fsrao.ca or reach us through our contact page.
