This Cookie Policy explains how Reverse Mortgage Centre, operated by LendCity (FSRA #12728), a licensed mortgage brokerage under Mortgage Architects (“the Company”, “We”, “Us”, or “Our”), uses cookies and similar technologies on reversemortgagecentre.ca (the “Service”).
This policy has been prepared in accordance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable Ontario consumer-protection and privacy legislation. It supplements, and should be read together with, our Privacy Policy.
What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow a site to recognize your device, remember your preferences, and support essential functionality. Similar technologies — such as local storage, session storage, and pixel tags — may also be used to achieve comparable purposes. In this policy, “cookies” refers to all of these technologies.
Types of Cookies We Use
We use the following categories of cookies. Wherever a third-party service is listed, we have linked only the cookies that service actually sets in your browser — nothing more.

Essential Cookies Required for the Service to function, including page routing, security, and load balancing. These are set by our hosting platform, Cloudflare, when you visit any page on the Service. If, in future, we introduce an account feature for saved calculator scenarios, authentication tokens issued by Supabase Auth would also fall into this category. At present, Supabase is used only server-side for data storage and does not set cookies in your browser.

Functional Cookies Used to deliver optional features. The Book a Call page uses a first-party booking form on this site. It does not load a third-party scheduler and does not set third-party booking cookies.

Analytics Cookies We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to collect anonymized, privacy-friendly usage data — page views, referrers, and coarse device/browser information. Cloudflare Analytics does not use third-party advertising cookies, does not track users across sites, and does not collect personally identifiable information. Analytics scripts load on indexed pages only (not on
/book-a-call/, which is excluded from that script). Phone taps, consult clicks, form submits, and calculator completions are recorded as first-party events on our server, including the page, referrer, and campaign parameters. -
Rate Limiting & Security We use Upstash Redis to rate-limit form submissions and protect against abuse. This protection runs entirely server-side and does not set a cookie in your browser. It relies on request metadata (such as IP address) rather than browser storage.
Third-Party Services
The following third parties support the Service. Only the services listed under “Cookies in Browser” place cookies or similar storage on your device:
- Cloudflare — Hosting, edge routing, and privacy-friendly Web Analytics. Sets essential cookies for session continuity, routing, and platform security; loads a lightweight analytics script on public pages. Cookies in browser: yes (essential); analytics script: yes on indexed pages.
- Microsoft 365 — Server-to-server calendar booking (availability and appointments). Cookies in browser: no.
- Supabase — Database and (future) authentication provider. Used server-to-server from our backend. Cookies in browser: no, under current configuration.
- Sequenzy — Transactional email delivery (consultation confirmations, contact-form receipts). Operates entirely server-to-server. Cookies in browser: no.
- Upstash Redis — Server-side rate limiting and security. Cookies in browser: no.
Each of these providers processes data in accordance with its own privacy terms and, where applicable, contractual obligations to us as data processors. See our Privacy Policy for details on how your personal information flows between the Company and our service providers.
Managing Cookies
Most web browsers let you control cookies through settings. You can configure your browser to:
- Accept or reject all cookies
- Notify you when a cookie is set
- Delete cookies manually or automatically
- Block third-party cookies specifically
Blocking essential cookies may cause parts of the Service to stop working. Blocking functional cookies is generally safe.
