Our mission
Reverse Mortgage Centre helps Canadian homeowners 55+ and their families compare the four regulated reverse mortgage lenders (CHIP / HomeEquity Bank, Equitable Bank, Bloom Finance and Home Trust) and Fraction, a no-payment mortgage alternative. The content is Canadian, and it is educational. It is not a loan offer.
Who writes and reviews it
Content is published under Scott Dillingham, a licensed Mortgage Agent Level 2 in Ontario and Accredited Mortgage Professional (AMP), working through Mortgage Architects Inc. – LendCity Mortgages (FSRA #12728). Pages that carry rates, eligibility rules, fees, taxes or estate effects show a "Reviewed by" line with the date of the last review.
Sources and fact-checking
For time-sensitive or regulated claims we link to the primary source: the lender's own product page, the Financial Consumer Agency of Canada, the Canada Revenue Agency, or FSRA. Lender rates and terms are shown with an "as of" date and are published figures, not quotes. They can change, and the lender's offer is what governs. We do not publish rates, review counts or lender counts we cannot source, and we do not apply U.S. rules (such as HECM) to Canadian products.
Corrections
If you find an error, email team@lendcity.ca with the page URL and the correction. When body copy changes, we update the date shown on the page.
Independence and disclosure
Reverse Mortgage Centre is brokerage-operated and is not owned by any lender. As a licensed brokerage, Mortgage Architects Inc. – LendCity Mortgages may be compensated by a lender when a mortgage is arranged. Nothing here is tax, legal or financial-planning advice; speak to a licensed professional about your own situation.
